Time to Splurge! Your Bestie is Getting Married!

$150-$250

This is their moment, and you have the means to spend a little. Buy a nice gift off the registry or come up with something meaningful.

Some ideas below:

Remember — Wedding gifts are meant to celebrate the couple- not leave you with credit card bills and stress. Whatever you can do, it will be loved and appreciated by the bride and groom.

As a general rule of thumb, I love following the 20-20-60 rule.

Start by creating an overall gift budget to celebrate the wedded couple to be. I’ll start with $200 as an example. Sixty percent of that budget ($120) should be reserved for the wedding gift, twenty percent ($40) should be reserved for the engagement party, and the other twenty percent ($40), for the shower. If you are only invited to one pre-wedding event, divide that extra twenty percent between the shower ($50) and the wedding ($130).
